if i could see my lover in
context(silent petals splitting
and only to appear so quite
separate, as dimly as your tears –

once she blows before me it’s
less like dancing,(even under
dew bending from your ear)much
like stillness
                falling (call it
sinking teeth into the sun)

when I count the seconds that we spend
next to darkness
together,
my heart tastes sweetness dripping
down the curvature in my tongue

and we are pollen
filling joints,
slowing…

who is the woman that less feels my chest least,yet
controls me and we—
